Filming Evaluation - 27/28th December 2016

Filming Evaluation

The first of our scheduled filming days was the 27th of December. As I had previously set up the shed prior to this day, we didn't need to start too early so we arranged to meet at my house at 10am. However, we found that the blood I'd splattered around the shed before had darkened, so we added to this by flinging the tubes of fake blood at the wall as well as making handprints to indicate a desperate victim. I think the newer blood in conjunction with the old marks made a nice effect.

We had planned to film all the shots over these two days, however we failed to factor in the bank holiday and found that all the butchers were closed, meaning we were unable to get guts that we needed for certain shots. We have scheduled a new date to film these shots and just did the ones we could over these days.

First, we filmed the shots of Harriet dressed in the killer in the pig mask, including shots of her slinging weapons while being splattered in blood. We filmed this from many different angles so we could incorporate flashes of the killer into our trailer.

After these shots were done, we moved on to shots of me in the bedroom on my laptop after it became dark enough, as we wanted the laptop to be the only light source for a dramatic effect.

The next day, Louise was unable to attend however Harriet and I made a list of shots it was possible to do without the guts and set to work on them. These included shots of me browsing YouTube videos about the deep web and a reaction shot of me quickly turning round. We also filmed the 'suicide cards' that will be shown at the beginning and end of the trailer.

Overall, I feel our filming days were a success and we managed to film over 2 minutes worth of footage, plenty for our trailer. Despite our setbacks we were able to still be productive and only have a few more bits to film on our later date.
