Glitching: Editing
As some of our shots required effects to make them work effectively, I worked out how to do this
Firstly I bladed all of the shots into smaller shots so that I could work with the individual image and add different effects to different shots making it look like it was a glitch. First i bladed the shots that required it for example when the young girl has a weapon dragged across her throat by the killer.
In the next step of editing these clips I then changed the amount of the effect which was the bad tv effect that was done, I did this so that the clips all had a different amount of the effect on them so that it looked like the clip had a glitch and this helps to ensure that the images are varied and all look different. For some of the clips I made it so that there was a massive glitch and put the amount up a lot when it was supposed to be a full glitch and I made sure I did this half way through the bladed clip .
This is where the clips were bladed for example this is the part when the killer is rubbing the guts. This is the clips after being bladed so that we could add he individual effects and glitch effects onto each clip with different amounts on them,
This is the second effect that I used when editing this part for the glitch, I did the same thing by turning up the blur boost just so that the image could be seen but still be blurry to create suspense to the audience, I then turned the amount of the effect up so that it looked like it was a glitch.
This is overall how it looked, I am happy with my editing to create a glitch effect because i works effectively when all the bladed clips that I edited are put together and they run smoothly to make a long clip of gltiching.
Once I had finished the editing of these clips I then made it back into a compound clip so that the bladed clips were all one clip again.
