Website - Social Media

Website; Social Media

For our website we decided to add the Facebook logo, Twitter logo and Instagram logo as links to our social media. However in order for these to fit in with the theme of our website we had to edit these images so that they worked well with the other things that we had on our website. I decided to take control of editing these logos within photoshop so that they worked well with the title and other things that were on the website.
For example our title was red and it had a glow up effect around the edges in order to create the sense of horror through the colour red being used and it flashes on and off by glowing up.
I decided to do the same for the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram logo.

Firstly I downloaded the Facebook logo and put the image into photoshop to allow me to edit this within photoshop and make it suitable to then upload onto our website.

After putting the image into photoshop I then removed all the colour from the image to get rid of the blue in order to be able to make it red and fit the theme of other text that is used within our website.
I then made sure that the outline of the Facebook symbol had a relatively thick edge in order for the outline of the F to stand out when it will eventually look like it is glowing up.

After ensuring that I had changed the image outer layer to be thicker I then changed the outline colour to be red to help with the theme of red text that we have on our website and in order to convey the theme and genre that we have within our trailer.

At this stage I then blurred the image in order for it to look like it was glowing up eventually. I blurred it just enough so that the image of the F can still be seen and is easy to view by the people who look at our website.
Then after blurring the F I then needed to add red blur the whole way around the F in order to start building a sense of glow around the F shape. I selected size 60 on my paint brush so that the blur would b all around the Fand inside of it.
Here is what it looked like after I added the red around the F in order to make it look like it was glowing.
I then created this layer so that on the website the F can switch between being on and off so when it is off it looks like this image below and when the F is on which it flickers between it glows up.
The F will go from being off and on every few seconds which I later went on to do on photoshop.
These two images below show I how I mad sure that the image would go from not glowing up to glowing up. I selected how often I wanted the two layers which is the F where it is turned off and the second layer where the F glows up.

Once I had completed the editing for the logo within photoshop I then went onto the website and added it on where it looked suitable. As you can see the title and the logos match which look effective upon our poster.

I then went on to do the same for twitter and Instagram.
