The Deep Web, Film Links

I have done some research into films surrounding the dark/deep web.

One of the first films I came across when I was researching into the deep web was Unfriended and this was released in 2014.
Unfriended is a film about a girls suicide, this film related to the deep web because some of Laura Barns's friends were all on a skype call and all of a sudden a unknown person joins and none of them have any idea who it is. They then try and remove him from the skype call and they are unable to do this they then see him typing and he types a message. This related to the deep web because there is a sense of internet hacking and video hacking which the people within the skype call cannot prevent. The person who is hacking into this skype call then starts controlling Laura Barns' friends and telling them what to do otherwise someone will die, this also relates to the deep web because it is showing the darkness hackers bring and also when the video hacker starts controlling things within the bedrooms of their houses when he isn't there and starts making them do stuff that causes them to get injured he is doing it all behind a screen showing the dangers and darkness of the web.

Another film that I came across when I was researching was Friend Request which was released in 2016.
Friend Request is about a student who accepts someone's friend request on Facebook who she doesn't know. This student then unfriends this mysterious girl one night this then lights a demonic presence that wants to make her lonely by killing her closest friends. This mysterious unknown girl who isn't even friends with the student is still hacking into her Facebook and posting things saying "you will know how it feels to be lonely" even though she deleted her. This relates to the deep web because it is using the sense of hacking and someone taking control over something she cant stop over one friend request that the student accepted. This film is highlighting the dangers of the deep web because it is showing you need to be careful what you do one mistake can lead to a lot.
