Practical  Task - Fake Wounds/Gore

For my practical task I looked online at a YouTube video to help guide me through on how to make effective fake wounds.

The first thing that I did was add foundation to an area of the arm to make the skin look darker to give it the effect that the area was bruised and a different colour to the other areas of skin on that arm.

Secondly I added bronzer over the top of the foundation to also help to change the skin tone colour, the effect of making the skin darker was to help with the effect that it was a wound and it has been bruised.

Next I added a line of foundation over the top of the bronzer and then used a makeup brush to create a line down the middle to create the effect of a wound and a gauge that would be deep into the skin.

I then used some dark eyeshadow to put around the area surrounding where I had put the foundation to make the skin look dark and bruised.

Next I used fake blood to create the effect of blood coming out of the wound and dripping down the side of the arm.
