Presentation Feedback:

As a group we presented our story board and a range of ideas to an audience. We decided to present the story board i created as we believed it was done in the greatest amount of detail regarding each individual scene and shot, making it easier for the audience to grasp the idea of our concept.

Regarding our name 'Red room', they seemed to like the simplicity of it, and how it creates a very clear idea of the genre from the beginning. Since red room, commonly is known for being a room where murder takes place, the definition itself being 'a hidden website or service on the "Deep Web" where you can see and/or participate in interactive torture or murder.'

We also explained our ideas of having high levels of naturalistic noises in order to create a sense of realism with a quiet non diegetic soundtrack. This idea seemed to be preferred since it would create a realer and more tense environment, through our focus group we also gained the same response. Therefore as a groom we deem this idea to be effective and suitable to use within our teaser trailer.

The idea of a greater use of titles and the possibility of voice over in order for the audience to gain a greater understanding was also brought up. Through feedback we were told that titles would be very effective, and as an improvement a greater amount then already decided would be even better. This is due to the lack of knowledge surrounding the deep web to the average person, therefore because of this, they thought a greater explanation to ensure a clear understanding would be appropriate. Something which we will consider as we are creating our piece.

Other feedback regarding the voice over was that if the titles do not fit in well enough, our concept of a voice over giving a greater description would be constructive. Which allowed us to acknowledge that either way would be effective since at first we were sceptical of the voiceover, in case it sounded out of place and/or made it seem more amateur.

The feedback we have been given through our presentation as well as our focus group are things we will undoubtedly take into account to guarantee that our teaser trailer best suits its genre and target audience.
